The third annual Muff Féile took place in the village over the past weekend. The fun all started on Wednesday 29th July with the inaugural Charity Football Match - Wallace v Doherty, where the Squealing Pig took on The Ardmore Bar. A fun game was had with maybe a few too many players on the pitch by the end of the game. But it was all in jest and all raising money for our local school, Scoil Naomh Bríd. School Principal, Mr Foster, was a great sport and played the match too. He may have been on the losing side, but there really were NO losers as all money raised goes towards the school - final amount will be announced soon. Thursday saw the Treasure Hunt get underway where 25+ cars embarked on the quest around the village. Apparently my own house is one of 'the wise', and a 'hoot' of folk visited my door hunting down the owls throughout the evening. After a very close call, the event was won by 'Mothers and Daughters'.
