Earlier today the new coffee shop in Quigley’s Point welcomed some family and friends for a taster and viewing of the new premises. It was a delight to be part of that taster and welcome. Although very much settled in Muff, I am and will always be a Quigley's Point gal at heart, so this coffee shop is a special one for myself here at Craic On Muff.
Point Coffee is due to open its doors to the public
on Tuesday 21st July at 7am. It will allow the village of Quigley’s
Point and those passing by to fuel up on coffee at dawn, and be fully awake
come the morning rush hour of work, family, and day-to-day life.
Being the first coffee shop in Quigley’s Point there is
undoubtedly much excitement about this opening. Local business, neighbours and
friends all popped in today for a nosey. And no one was disappointed.
Proprietor Jonathan McDaid, a native of QP, is excited and
naturally apprehensive all together, as he prepares to open his doors on Tuesday
next. Jonathan is supported by his brother-in-law Timmy in the new venture.
Point Coffee is destined to be a meeting point for
friends, an eating place for people, and at its heart a self-care place for all
– coffee shops allow one to escape the mundane ánd/or the madness of daily life, and it’s a space
you can go with folk, or just go alone. Point Coffee will welcome
businesses, locals, family and tourists alike.
But please do bear in mind as you visit next week, that this is a new venture and like all new ventures there can be teething problems; just let the staff find their way around and be patient. The coffee and treats will come and they will grow. Point Coffee will flow and Quigley’s Point will breathe new life back into the village too.
Welcome to the world Point Coffee and everyone in
Muff wishes you every success. We will be visiting ….. often!!
