The World Cup is over, but the match of 'summer 26' is still to come. The inaugural Muff Féile Football Classic takes place this coming Wednesday night from 7pm. The QPS pitch will host the game and it's going to be Squealing Pig v Ardmore Bar. The two managers going head-to-head will be - Paddy Doherty for The Pig, and Simon Wallace for The Ardmore. Need we say more. And there will be the referee to beat all others - the legend that is Golly G. All's fair in love and war, or rather bar and bar!!
The lads have successfully recruited a varied number of players (both male and female) to play in this charity match on Wednesday. And most important of all, money raised on the night is ALL going towards our local primary school, Scoil Naomh Bríd.
It could get messi/messy, but it will be great craic. It's time to bring fun back into the village and the 3rd annual Muff Féile is destined to do just this - starting with Doherty v Wallace; Pig v Ardmore. Just who will come out triumphant? And will the loser be a valiant one, or a sore one. You just have to be there on Wednesday to find out.
And there's going to be mighty craic after in The Ardmore Bar. Great music with GÉZER, and who knows what shenanigans will take place.
Put it in your diary now, Muff Féile Football Classic, Wednesday 29th July, QPS pitch 7pm.
